The raw material of our wool fabric comes from Merino sheep living on the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic Ocean. The Falkland Islands, which are located near Argentina, consist of two main islands, East Falkland and West Falkland, and 766 smaller islands. All in all, this archipelago offers a total area of over 12,000 km². Surprisingly, these islands are populated by only about 3000 people, who keep about 500,000 sheep. Due to the extensive landscape, the sheep can be in nature all year round and have enough space on the numerous pastures. Falkland wool is of exceptional purity and free of chemical residues. During wool production, great importance is attached to the welfare of the animals and the shearing process is carried out "mulesing free". In addition to its high quality, Falkland wool is known for being one of the whitest and finest wool types in the world. The sheared wool is brought to Italy, dyed and spun into a yarn, which in turn is used to knit the merino fabric.
